ANA at MOVE AGAINST G8

In 2005 La Fábrica De Cosas Bonitas introduced ANA; a robot demostrator. The 1st version of ANA supported CCD camera glasses; microphone ear-rings; appropiate demostration attire; identification badge and a banner with slogans. The lower half of the robot was equipped with sonar and infrared enabling her to avoid obstacles as well as police.

In june 2007
LaFábricaDeCosasBonitas
presented a new ANA at
the MOVE AGAINST G8 meeting
at Rostock on 2007, june the 2nd & 3rd.

It was the version2 of ANA that stands for Autonomous
Non-Violent Agent.

ANA version1 was awarded with a prize in the Fundacion
Telefonica VIDA 8.0 contest in november of 2005.

And since then a lot of people has helped us to reach
the MOVE AGAINST G8 meeting at Rostock. We want to say
thanks to all of them.

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS...

Thanks to arteleku and it's people and Hugh. ANA was
produced at arteleku and all the folks there has been
very kind and helpfull with the project.

Thanks to Chris that helped us a lot with
technical info. From motors to microcontollers he
knew the best option for all that we needed.

To people of medialab Madrid and the arduino workshop
conducted by Igor & Angela. Igor programed things
for us when our brain was exhausted or when we
didn't have enough time.

To dorkbot at Ghent where Lieven and Kurt made us to
feel like at home. And to dorkbot Madrid held at LADINAMO
where Juan Carlos does a very good job.

To Pep, Mira and Miriam, the people of Valencia Visor
gallery for taking the risk of exhibiting ANA in the
very begining of the project.

To the people of Nau Coclea at Girona for hosting an
unbelievable group of good people that included some
TELENOIKOS and some MILES DE VIVIENDAS and more.

To Xabier and other hackers for inviting us to present
the project at the Mataro Hackmeeting.

To Maria for inviting us to participate in Netlatch.

To Bruno at MAX magaize,
to Joshua at Newsweek Europe
and Koldo at The Balde for
resporting the project. And to Regine in
www.we-make-for-money-not-art.com for posting at her blog.

To Maria & Mattias, our Hamburg friends without whom
wouldn't have been possible to be at Rostock...

... and to all the people at Rostock MOVE AGAINST G8
for their exceptional good work.

To Laura & Laura, Family and Friends for their
extreme patience with us while doing extrange things
(with or without electricity).

And to you for reading so far.

We should finish here. But there is still one more
thing we would like to say...

Although sometimes you doubt it;
ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE!!!

And that's all folks.
Now we will work on a new version.
